Radio City Music Hall Concert Guide: Entry, Bags, Transit and Midtown Planning
Research-based planning. Verify time-sensitive details with the named provider before booking.
Radio City Music Hall is at 1260 Avenue of the Americas, with event entrances on West 50th and West 51st Streets between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Its Rockefeller Center location makes walking and subway access practical for many visitors, but event-night crowds still justify a time buffer.
Arrival and entry
Check your event page before traveling because doors, show time, and ticket instructions are event-specific. The 47–50 Sts–Rockefeller Center subway complex is one of the useful nearby stations, but live MTA service should be checked on the day of the concert.
Radio City’s current event guidance says bags should fit under the seat and prohibits bags larger than 22 × 14 × 9 inches. Treat that as a maximum, not a reason to bring a large bag. Security requirements can change, and some events may add restrictions.
Accessibility
Radio City publishes wheelchair, aisle-transfer and companion seating information, accessible restroom information, and assisted-listening support. Guests who need a specific accommodation should contact the venue before the event rather than assuming every section or entrance works the same way.
Parking, rideshare and transit
For a Midtown stay, walking or subway is usually the planning baseline. Radio City’s FAQ also contains current parking and rideshare information, but curb restrictions and pickup conditions may change around events. Follow venue instructions and current street signage.
Dining and nearby amenities
Rockefeller Center provides restaurants and visitor amenities close to the venue. For a pre-show attraction, Top of the Rock is in the same complex; its official site currently lists daily hours of 8 a.m. to midnight, with last entry at 11:10 p.m. Timed entry can sell out, so do not schedule a late observation-deck visit so tightly that it risks the concert.
After the concert
Check live subway conditions and the operating hours of anything you plan after the show. If your hotel is in Midtown, walking may avoid waiting for a rideshare, but choose your route based on current conditions, weather, mobility needs, and your own judgment. This guide does not make a safety guarantee about any route.
